FecunMed carries out all the assisted conception techniques allowed by the Spanish Law.
The use of donor sperm for intrauterine insemination and In-Vitro Fertilization is allowed by the Spanish law.
The use of donor eggs for IVF is also allowed. This technique is recommended after several failed attempts with own eggs or when the number and/or quality of those eggs is poor. Egg donation offers excellent results in women above 40 years old, who have otherwise very few chances to conceive with their own eggs.
In Spain there is no age limit to undergo fertility treatment. However FecunMed has set the limit at 49 years old provided patients are in good health. Women above 44 years old will be asked to bring a medical report from an external gynaecologist confirming that they are in good health and there is no contraindication to carry a full-term pregnancy.
Donation in Spain is anonymous.
Single women and lesbian couples can have fertility treatment in Spain.
Embryo freezing and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis are also allowed by the Spanish law.
