Depending on the abnormalities detected on the sperm, on the results of the physical examination or on the patient´s medical history it may be required to complete additional tests such as a testicular biopsy or genetic studies which may provide more information about the underlying causes of infertility and allow the doctor to choose the best treatment plan.
